I'm First.org- This is a website dedicated to first-generation college students that provides lists of colleges, financial aid opportunities, and more for the students that are the first in their family to make it to college.
College X-Press- A website dedicated to giving you up to date information on colleges, applications, scholarships and more.
School Guides- This website contains tons of information about colleges and universities all over the country.
CampusTours.com- A collection of e-tours and digital maps with photorealistic images to give you a better sense of what it is like to walk the quad of a college, as well as provide information about each school.
eCampusTours.com- Another virtual college touring website, this page boasts over 1300 virtual tours and has resources for parents and students alike.
Petersons.com- This page has information about every level of college from undergraduate to doctoral work, as well as career colleges. It provides timelines, due dates, certain preparatory materials and information on colleges.
The Princeton Review- A test-prep website, this page can provide you with information, resources, and registration materials for nearly any exam you can think of from the ACT to the MCAT!
U.S. News and World Report- This website contains the work of the US News and World Report's infamous and beloved "Best Colleges in America" ranking system and searchable database.
CollegeQuest.com- This tool touts itself as a simple, free matching service that claims it "allows students to narrow down the immense amounts of options in the college search process and find what is right for them."
DiscoverColleges.com- A webpage entirely dedicated to helping students find a Christian University that they feel will be the right fit for them. It has college information and application tips specifically tailored to Christian universities.
SmartScholar.com- A website with a host of guides, links, tools, resources, and recommendations for students to get into colleges, procure financial aid, and more. This is more of a compiler list than a provider of original content.
Discover Business- A website dedicated to providing information and resources specific to colleges, jobs, degree pathways, and more in the business field.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
Dept. of Education Financial Aid- A simple to follow website that explains preparation, acquisition, usage, and repayment of financial aid in college for students and families. This website has information about the FAFSA and much more.
College-Scholarships.com- This website is a compilation website with a variety of free scholarship search tools, college advice/guidance posts, and more information for post-secondary programs in the US.
FinAid- A student-friendly site that allows students to investigate many ways of getting financial aid, like loans, scholarships, and even military aid.
NCAA Eligibility Center- If you are interested in learning what it takes to be an eligible college athlete or acquiring scholarships for your athletic skills, this website has information for you.
ScholarStuff.com- A website with lots of lists of places to look for financial aid laid out in an uncluttered textual list.
FastWeb.com- A huge collection of links, applications, information, and services for students seeking financial aid. They are the self-proclaimed "leading online resource."
Sallie Mae- This website provides financial information and opportunities for various scholarships and other financial things that college students can benefit from.
Scholarship Guidance- This link will take you to a website with a searchable database of scholarships, their requirements, how to apply, and how much they are worth for students.
Scholarship Mentor- A website with many specialty scholarships for the region you live in, students with disabilities, engineering and science scholarships, and much more. They also have a subscription service that can send new scholarships to your e-mail every few weeks.
StudentScholarships.org- A collection of scholarships for students that can be searched and fit to the qualifications of each applicant. It is the single largest collection of scholarships online.
Scholarship Experts- The website provides students with a scholarship search engine and time saving features to access over $14 billion worth of scholarships.
Harford Community College Financial Aid TV- A free website that talks parents and students through the financial aid/application processes at HCC and in general.
Harford County Public Schools Scholarship Information- This page shows grants and scholarships for HCPS students. The applications, amounts, and contact information for all links are listed on this page!
Weird Scholarships- This website contains a simple, searchable list of unusual college scholarships (scholarships for left-handed people, for blondes, for people with glasses, etc.) that was created by a college senior at the University of Alabama.
Lend.Edu- A resource that has lists of many scholarships from national programs that are sorted by category of scholarship, as well as informational resources for financial aid, loans, and scholarships in college.
